Odd-Fellow's Pocket Companion 1867

This is a well-used but intact copy of a pocket manual for members of the Odd-Fellows. This curious late-19th century guide contains over 100 embellishments and illustrations. The subject matter goes into rites, prayers, lodge structure, and all things related to the order, as well as social obligations to the larger community. 

While the exterior cover is damaged and it lacks the wrap around tab that one could use to keep the book closed and safe in a pocket, the binding and the rest of the cover remains tight. The pages are yellowed and foxed as expected by age, but the text is legible, albeit small.
